Family Advocate

Michelle McDyre graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Legal Studies and a minor in Sociology before working at the Montgomery District Attorney’s Office. Michelle joined the Mission Kids team in 2015 as the Case Coordinator, and now spends her days as a full-time Family Advocate. As a member of the Mission Kids team, Michelle’s role is to provide support and advocacy for families who are dealing with child abuse and to help them on their path toward healing. As a Family Advocate, she meets with non-offending caregivers to provide medical and counseling referrals for victims, provides updates throughout the investigation, assists with Victim’s Compensation, educates families about the judicial system, and accompanies families to criminal court.
