Child Safety Matters

Child Safety Matters is an evidence-based child abuse prevention education program for elementary school students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade.
The Lessons
(2) 55-minute lessons take place in the classroom.
Lesson 1: Facilitators introduce and discuss General Safety (Safe Adults, Red Flags, Awareness, Safety Rules) & 4 types of child abuse (physical, emotional, sexual, neglect).
Lesson 2: Students learn about Bullying, Cyberbullying, Digital Safety, and Responsible Digital Citizenship.
