About the Lesson
We know the vital role parents and caregivers play in a child’s life. We also understand that discussing sensitive topics like boundaries, personal safety, and navigating today’s digital world can be challenging. That’s why we’re here to help.
Through engaging activities and insightful information, “Smarter Parents” covers three essential segments: Healthy Sexual Development, Parent-Child Communication, and Child Safety. Led by expert facilitators, the workshop equips caregivers with the knowledge and tools to foster open, honest conversations and ensure every child’s safety and well-being, both offline and online.
Caregivers will learn
- Accurate information about healthy sexual development throughout childhood, plus indicators of potentially problematic behavior.
- Practical yet vital skills to promote open and honest parent-child communication, particularly surrounding sexual topics.
- Strategies to create safe environments for children at home, around others, and online to protect them from harm.
