About the Lesson
Child Safety Matters is an evidence-based child abuse prevention education program for elementary school students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade.
An interactive, 60-minute lesson takes place in the classroom.
Facilitators introduce and discuss “general safety” (safe adults, red flags, awareness, safety rules) and four types of child abuse (physical, emotional, sexual, neglect).
