Liz Nolan joined the Mission Kids team as a Family Advocate in August 2021. She earned her BA in Social Work at Taylor University in Indiana where she completed a school social work internship at an elementary school. After college, she worked for 2 years at the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter as an education aide and provided trauma-informed behavioral interventions to children in crisis in educational and residential settings. Liz earned her Masters in Social Work at the University of Kentucky; there she had the opportunity to intern at the Center on Trauma and Children where she assisted a multidisciplinary team in completing in-depth assessments of families involved in the foster care system for family court judges making difficult permanency decisions. Prior to working at Mission Kids, she worked in Kentucky for 4 years as a Therapeutic Foster Care Case Manager providing trauma-informed services to children and their families.
