Michelle is the Forensic Interviewer Supervisor at Mission Kids Child Advocacy Center. Prior to Mission Kids, Michelle was a Lead Forensic Interview Specialist at the Philadelphia Children’s Alliance for 9 years. Michelle’s work includes facilitating a multi-disciplinary team approach to child sexual and physical abuse investigations including conducting forensic interviews with the alleged victims of abuse. In addition, Michelle trains new interviewers and supports already established interviewers on topics such as basic abuse dynamics, child development, memory and suggestibility, as well as specific interview techniques. Michelle has completed over 2,500 forensic interviews of children and adults in her career and has testified in numerous civil and criminal court cases.
Michelle brings with her many years of experience providing educational programming as well as therapeutic work focused on the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, and queer (LGBTQ) youth. In the past, she has also helped support new professionals in the fields of Social Work and Psychology as an adjunct faculty member at Arcadia University and Cabrini University as well as a field liaison at Bryn Mawr College’s Graduate School of Social Work & Social Research.
