General Position Information
Job Title: Evening Receptionist
Job Type: Part-time
Office Schedule:Â Approximately 15-20 hours per week. While the schedule may vary as needed, general expectations are Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:30-8:30 PM, and Mondays and Thursdays from 3:30-5:30 PM.
Salary: Up to $20 per hour

Position Summary:
The Evening Receptionist would greet and welcome children and families to Mission Kids for evening appointments and services. This is an administrative position, supporting our program staff, mental health providers, and contractors in the day to day operations of Mission Kids. Mission Kids Child Advocacy Center coordinates a team approach to child abuse investigations in Montgomery County, PA. The team members consist of Local Law Enforcement, Child Protective Services, Mental Health Professionals, Medical Professionals, and Prosecutors.

Essential Duties & Tasks:
- Greets children and families in a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Answers any questions caregivers may have about Mission Kids. Provides directions and will address any immediate barriers to the client’s ability to be present for and participate in their scheduled interview.
- Supervises several children of differing ages in the waiting area as needed who may have special needs or behavioral issues or who may require close monitoring, emotional comfort, etc. This may include developing activities ideas for children to do while on-site for services.
- Oversees the security of confidential client records.
- Fields questions from the public, provides information and referral on child abuse and neglect as well as agency programs and services.
- Provides administrative support to all staff members and other tasks as assigned by the CEO and Director of Client Engagement and Initiatives.
- Answers phones and provide information to callers.
- Photocopies, collates, staples, formats documents etc. as needed.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of the lobby/reception area,
- Guides volunteers and interns to miscellaneous office tasks as needed.
- Provides support for volunteers as needed.
- Responsible for following security protocols.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Public relations and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
- Must work well in a team atmosphere.
- Must pass FBI, State and Childline clearances.
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
- Child Care / Child Development experience preferred

Education and Training:
- Minimum Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred, plus 1-2 years of work experience.
- Excellent computer and data entry skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Reader and Google Calendars.
- PA Child Abuse Clearances Required
- Must successfully pass FBI fingerprinting, Pennsylvania State Police, and ChildLine background clearances.
