Volunteer Inquiries

Mission Kids is often seeking volunteers to help donate their time and talent to support our Child Advocacy Center. Our non-profit organization collaborates with volunteers for a variety of tasks including clerical, special event planning, along with outreach, prevention, and educational events in the community.

Immediate Need: Mission Kids is seeking volunteers to help us gather feedback on our services provided to the community of Montgomery County.

Individuals should:

  • Have direct experience in the fields of social/family services; human resources; and/or customer relations
  • Possess strong communication skills, maturity, and a calm demeanor
  • Have a dedication to the organization’s mission, as well as familiarity with core services offered
  • High level of discretion and patience
  • Bilingual – Spanish (not required, but strongly preferred*)

Volunteer hours can be completed remotely and outside of normal business hours during the evenings and/or weekends. This opportunity requires criminal and child abuse clearances, which can be obtained after volunteer role is confirmed with the organization. Individuals who have been involved with Mission Kids’ volunteer efforts previously are strongly encouraged to reach out.

Young Friends of Mission Kids

Mission Kids is looking for Young Professionals, ages 21-40, to get involved with our organization’s ‘Young Friends of Mission Kids’ Committee. Ideal candidates should be committed to supporting the Child Advocacy Center’s mission through volunteerism, fundraising and community awareness.

Our Work

Mission Kids provides a direct service program that helps achieve healing and justice for victims of child abuse and their families in Montgomery County, as well as child abuse prevention education and community outreach programs.

Our Impact

The work of Mission Kids Child Advocacy Center expands every year. Mission Kids serves nearly 600 children and teens annually, and that number continues to rise. Since Mission Kids opened its doors in 2009, the organization has served over 5,000 children and their families. With each new client comes greater need for extended resources and funds.

Our Friends

The ‘Young Friends of Mission Kids’ Committee was established to reach new generations and audiences who are connected to our mission and to find new ways to meet the ever-growing needs of our Child Advocacy Center. This group of Young Professionals, ages 21-40 years old, is committed to supporting the Child Advocacy Center’s mission through volunteerism, fundraising and community awareness.

Membership

Being an active member of the “Young Friends” Committee is a great way to contribute your time and talents to an important cause. In return, you will have opportunities for socializing, networking, leadership development and fun while doing something meaningful for children.
