Protect & Play: Family Activity Day

Looking for a structured and engaging activity during the holiday break? Mission Kids invites families to an afternoon that combines meaningful safety education for caregivers with age-appropriate learning and fun programming for children. This event is designed for caregivers in the Pottstown area and surrounding communities who want to strengthen their knowledge and support the well-being of the children in their lives.

Parents/Caregivers:
Parents will participate in our 2-hour Smarter Parents workshop, led by Mission Kids’ trained facilitators. You’ll learn how to talk about sensitive topics like boundaries, personal safety, and navigating today’s digital world. This workshop will help you communicate effectively with your children and keep them safe.

Kids Ages 5-13:
While caregivers attend the workshop, children will join Mission Kids Community Prevention Educators for developmentally appropriate safety education. Interactive lessons will help children:

• Understand body autonomy and personal safety
• Recognize unsafe or uncomfortable behavior
• Identify trusted adults they can go to when they feel unsafe
• Learn foundational digital safety concepts, including how to navigate online interactions, avoid risky situations, and ask for help

Following the lesson, children will enjoy a New Year-themed craft and supervised activities designed to keep them engaged, creative, and supported in a structured environment.
