about the lesson

This event is designed for parents and caregivers of children aged 2-12 and kids ages 4-14, offering valuable tools to keep your family safe.

Workshop #1 for Parents/Caregivers of Kids Ages 2-12
Parents will participate in our 2-hour Smarter Parents workshop, led by Mission Kids’ trained facilitators. You’ll learn how to talk about sensitive topics like boundaries, personal safety, and navigating today’s digital world. This workshop will help you communicate effectively with your children and keep them safe.

Workshop #2 for Kids Ages 4-14

Meanwhile, children will join Mission Kids’ certified Community Prevention Educators for an engaging safety lesson tailored to their age group. Through evidence-based, age-appropriate discussions and activities, kids will learn about body autonomy and personal safety, recognizing unsafe or uncomfortable behavior, identifying trusted adults they can turn to for help, and making safer choices online.

Following the lesson, kids will enjoy additional fun, kid-friendly activities under the supervision of certified childcare staff.

This event is completely free and aims to equip both parents and kids with the knowledge and confidence to protect themselves and their families. Don’t miss this opportunity to empower your family and build a safer community together!
